IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARY LOU
It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we say goodbye to Mary Lou Boal, founder, trusted partner, and dear friend. We will remember her not just for the work we shared, but for the spark she brought into every room, every conversation, and every journey. Whether jet-setting across continents or striking up a chat with a stranger in line for coffee, Mary Lou lived life out loud—boldly, joyfully, and with a contagious zest that made you want to lean in and listen and see the world.
In business, Mary Lou was a force: passionate, driven, full of knowledge, and a whirlwind of energy. But it was her spirit that truly made an impact. She reminded us that connections matter, that every person has a story worth hearing, and that life is best lived with a suitcase half-packed and a heart wide open. She even wrote a book! (“Wonderful World, Beautiful People”)
In keeping with that spirit, we will be putting together a memorial page on this website to display a collection of travel stories involving Mary Lou. If you are willing to share, just type up your story and email it to karen@totaltravelserviceinc.com or give us a call and we’ll reminisce with you.
